Nut Butter Cups

No need for all that added refined sugar and fake ingredients.
Nut Butter Cups are so easy to make and they’re delicious!

What you’ll need:

  • 6~7 silicon or paper muffin cups
  • whisk
  • bowl
Chocolate Sauce
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 raw honey
  • 1/3 cup +2 Tbsp melted coconut oil
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • pinch of sea salt
Cream together melted coconut oil, honey and salt.
Whisk in cocoa powder & cinnamon until smooth and silky. Chocolate will look glossy.
Pour just enough chocolate into each muffin cup to cover the bottom.
Refrigerate or freeze 5 – 10 minutes while you prepare the nut butter.
[Don’t want to make your own chocolate? You could cheat here and just melt your favourite dark chocolate over a double boiler]
 
Nut Filling
  • 2 Tbsp nut butter
  • 1 tsp raw honey
  • pinch of salt
Extras*: pieces of bacon, dried fruit, etc, Go on – Play!
 
Mix nut butter, honey and salt together until well combined. Stir in extra* bits as you see fit.
 
Remove chocolate-bottomed cups from the cold and spoon in nut butter, heaped in the middle of the cup. Make sure to leave some chocolate exposed around the edge.  
Cover each with remaining chocolate mixture and freeze for at least 30 minutes.
Store in the fridge or freezer.
